I'm going to collate a variety of these rules we live by and by using traditional dying formats such as letterpress, stamps and sign writing I will create a print based illustrated guide to the rules we follow but don't know why.
This has all got me thinking about traditions and the significance of them. Probably like most people I was brought up to adhere to loads of rules and traditions but I had no idea what they meant. My parents couldn't give me any real answers because often....they didn't really know the answers. They were brought up by their very traditional indian parents but then moved to England where the traditions lost their value/meaning but were still followed.
